Alia Shawkat has been a TV actress for over twenty decades. Alia was born on 18th April 1989, in Riverside California. She was Maeby in the Fox series Arrested Development, a part which won her a TV Land Future Classic Award. Shawkat was a part of Whip It along with Ellen Page. Shawkat was Hannah in State of Grace, from 2001 until 2004. Shawkat was Maeby Funke's character for the entirety of Arrested Development's run from 2003 until 2018 as a member of the cast that remained. The role of Shawkat was often highlighted in the show's critiques. Brian M. Palmer of Pop Culture noted that she's the brightest stars on a show populated only by bright lights, and Scott Weinberg at eFilmCritic said it was funny for a young lady. In an A.V. Shawkat said to The A.V. Club that in 2010a large portion of Shawkat's formative moments as an actress took place in the show Arrested Developement: Mitch Hurwitz was my father persona. The time I spent on the Arrested Development set was extremely valuable for me as it helped my love of comedy to grow. Shawkat performed alongside Eva Mendes, Eric Wareheim and Whip It's Har Mar Superstar on the Tall Boy music video from Har Mar. Shawkat Har Mar along with Whip It's co-star Ellen Page announced in October 2009 that they were going to create and direct an HBO show titled Stitch N Bitch. As per The Hollywood Reporter, the show follows two extremely cool hipsters who move from Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood to the Los Angeles Silver Lake enclave with the hopes of becoming a professional artist of any kind. Alice Braga portrayed the character of Teresa Mendoza on the television crime-thriller show Queen of the South from until 2021. Braga received lots of accolades and awards for her role.
