Heidi Watney, born May 19, 1981 is an American sportscaster. She was a National Merit Scholar. She attended the University of San Diego with an academic scholarship. She graduated with distinction in 2003. [2] Watney was a contestant at the Miss California USA pageant, where she was the very first second-place finisher in 2002. Watney began her job at KMPH-TV (FOX 26), Fresno, in September 2003. When she started as a daytime traffic reporter she moved to the anchor of sports on weekends and eventually reporters on weekdays. She moved to Massachusetts in 2008 and was hired by New England Sports Network. She was an Boston Red Sox gameday reporter. Watney was also host of the Ultimate Red Sox Show and the Red Sox Report.In January 2012, Watney began working for Time Warner Cable SportsNet as a reporter for the LA Galaxy. In November 2012, she was hired by MLB Network. There she was for nine years. In the past, she was the host of Quick Pitch. In 2022, she joined Apple TV+.
