Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding is a British musician and singer. The singer was born Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December 1986, in Hereford. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 thanks to the catchy electro-pop songs "Starry Eyed" and Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding is a distinctive soprano voice and has a talent for writing emotional songs with positive lyrics. Much like her predecessors Kate Bush or Imogen, she's at the forefront of contemporary mainstream pop as well as the artful independent music.
