Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian artist and singer. Over 20 albums have been released by her. DiFranco categorizes her music as folk-rock or alternative. However, it contains influences such as punk, hip-hop, and jazz. Ani Difranco has been widely considered to be a symbol for feminist music. In the year 1990, she was among the first people to launch her own label independently. DiFranco was the child of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco.
