Annie Murphy

Annie Murphy, also known as Anne Frances Murphy, was born in the year 1986. She is Canadian and has worked in Hollywood's film industry on a range of projects. The most well-known role she has played is that of Alexis Rose, a CBC TV sitcom, Schitt's creek. It premiered in 2015 and ran until the year 2020. Her performance earned her high praise from critics and was also awarded the Primetime Emmy Award. She was born within Ottawa Ontario Canada. Her parents worked together as teachers. Elmwood School, Ottawa is where she first began her involvement in theatre productions. When she graduated of Concordia University with a theatre degree, she joined the Canadian Film Centre Actor's Conservatory. In the following years, she was a part of courses in the Canadian Film Centre Actor's Conservatory where she was instructed in acting. Later she moved from Toronto to Los Angeles at the age of 22 where she pursued acting as a career.
